PX And is a cataclysmic variable star of the SW Sextantis type, located in the constellation Andromeda. It is a close binary system where a white dwarf accretes material from a donor star via an accretion disk. PX And exhibits partial eclipses, superhumps, and quasi-periodic brightness variations caused by the precession of the disk. The orbital period is approximately 3.51 hours. The system is actively studied as a complex SW Sex-type star with variable accretion behavior and an unstable disk.
